Job Function

  • Seek business opportunities within the defined sales segment and follow all sales leads to optimize the sales of function and banquet facilities, and F&B outlets within the Hotel. Manage a portfolio of clients within a designated market segment to meet defined sales targets.
  • Send out proposals to clients and follow through until confirmation or cancellation is received.  To organize hotel and banquet facilities familiarization tours for clients and prospective customers.
  • Prepare event orders which should be completed prior to the weekly banquet meeting and ensure all special requirements are communicated to the service staff.
  • Monitor and assist in coordinating banquet functions/ services on daily basis, and engage with function guests to gather feedback.
  • Prepare monthly Catering Sales reports, event reports and forecast reports. To keep in close touch with the market and advise the Food & Beverage Manager regarding competitive pricing, promotion, products, etc. 
  • Participate in sales related activities such as roadshow/blitzes and attend functions and/or trade shows as directed. To develop productive sales relationships with existing and prospective customers, and implement programmes to win customer loyalty.
  • Arrange at least 2 wedding/solemnization workshops in a year.
  • Prepare annual banquet sales budget for management approval, and managing the budget upon approval. Advise on establishing annual targets during the Business Planning phase.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Sales.
